Ration Card Download: e-Ration Card for Every State

Three ways to get a copy of your ration card

A printout of your details from a portal is useful as a reference, but it may not be treated as a new physical card. Ask your state food department what is accepted where you want to use it.

Method 1: Download from DigiLocker

DigiLocker is the Government of India's digital document wallet. Ration cards are issued into it by individual state departments. Rajasthan, Meghalaya, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Puducherry have been confirmed as issuers through DigiLocker posts or reports between 2021 and 2023. The complete list of issuer states could not be confirmed.

1. Open digilocker.gov.in or the DigiLocker app and sign in with your own mobile and Aadhaar.
2. Search for your state's food and civil supplies department.
3. Choose "Ration Card" if it appears for your state.
4. Type the card details it asks for, for example the card number and district.
5. Look for "Get Document". The card should then appear under "Issued Documents".

These steps are based on third-party guides for UP. Labels may differ. If your state does not appear, it may not issue ration cards on DigiLocker yet. Read more on our e-ration card page.

Method 2: State ration card portals

The central portal nfsa.gov.in keeps a page called "Ration Card State Portals", updated on 12 October 2026, which lists each state's ration card details (RC details or RCMS) site. The table below uses only those nfsa.gov.in-listed addresses. We have not opened each state site ourselves, so if a link does not load, go to nfsa.gov.in and follow the current link given there for your state. Where no address is shown, do the same.

Most of these portals show ration card details or reports. Whether they offer a downloadable card is not confirmed for each state. If the site looks different, look for words like "RC Details", "Ration Card Details" or "Citizen" on the home page.

Method 3: Mera Ration app

The Mera Ration app (Play Store id com.nic.onenationonecard) is developed by the National Informatics Centre for One Nation One Ration Card. It has over 10 million downloads. Official features listed by PIB include entitlement details, nearby fair price shops, recent transactions and migrant registration. The Play Store listing also mentions the status of requests submitted. Mera Ration 2.0 was launched on 20 August 2024, as reported.

Some third-party guides say you can view or download an e-ration card in the app. We could not confirm this officially. Install it only from the official store listing linked below, and check the developer name is National Informatics Centre.

If the download does not work

• OTP not received: the mobile linked to the card may be old. Ask the local supply office how to update it.
• Card not found: the card may be inactive. Under the TPDS (Control) Amendment Order, 2025, cards with no grain lifted for 6 months are temporarily disabled until verification and e-KYC. Check your ration card status.
• Name missing: search the ration card list for your state.
• Still stuck: call 14445, the ONORC helpline, or your state's toll-free number from the list on nfsa.gov.in.

Stay safe while downloading

• Use only official sites: gov.in or nic.in addresses listed on nfsa.gov.in, and digilocker.gov.in.
• Fake websites and apps copy government colours and logos. Do not type Aadhaar, OTP or card details into them.
• Never share an OTP with a caller who offers to download your card for you.
• You do not need to pay anyone to download your own ration card from DigiLocker.
