There is no single "new list" PDF for the whole of Uttar Pradesh. The UP ration card list is published dealer by dealer: every fair price shop (FPS, कोटेदार) has a list of the ration cards attached to it. To find your name, you go from your district, to your town or block, to your ration dealer, and then open that dealer's card list on the official portal.

A quick note on honesty: this is an independent guide, not a government website. We could not open the UP portals directly while preparing this page, so the menu names below come from third-party guides (ClearTax and The Current India). They match each other, but the live site may use slightly different words. Where we are unsure, we say so.

Before you start

Know your district and whether you live in an urban area (town, nagar) or a rural area (block, village).
Know the name of your ration dealer (कोटेदार) or shop. It is usually written on your card or known in your mohalla.
If you have your ration card number, keep it handy. It makes the search faster.
Use a normal browser like Chrome. Government sites can be slow at the start of the month, so try again later if a page does not load.

Step by step: check the UP ration card list

This is the route described by third-party guides for fcs.up.gov.in. Labels may change. If you do not see the exact words, look for any link mentioning "पात्रता सूची", "Eligibility List" or "Ration Card".

Open the official portal fcs.up.gov.in.
Look for "Ration Card Eligibility List" or "Search in ration card eligibility list" (राशन कार्ड पात्रता सूची).
Select your district (जनपद) from the list or map.
If you live in a city or town, choose your town. If you live in a village, choose your block. Some guides say you then choose a gram panchayat; we could not confirm this level.
You will see a list of fair price shop dealers. Next to each dealer's name there is usually a number showing how many cards are attached. Tap that number.
The card list opens. Look for your ration card number or the name of the head of family.
Tap the card number, if it is a link, to see member details. Note down or screenshot what you need.

If the screen looks different, go back to the portal home page and look for the eligibility list or ration card search option. Do not use unknown "list download" sites that ask you to log in or share personal data.

According to The Current India, the eligibility list page offers two ways to search:

A Tribune sponsored article (September 2024) says the card-number search may ask for a captcha and an OTP sent to the mobile number registered on the card. That OTP is meant to be typed only on the official portal screen you are using. Never read it out to anyone.

Urban vs rural list: what is different

Guides describe the urban route as district, then town, then dealer. ClearTax describes the rural route as district, then block or village, then dealer. The exact split on the live site is not confirmed. In practice, if you cannot find your village, try your block first, and if you cannot find your town, check whether your area is listed under a nearby nagar panchayat or municipal area. Your ration dealer can tell you which area name the department uses.

Name not in the UP ration card list? What to do

A missing name does not always mean your card is cancelled. Possible reasons include a wrong dealer selection, a spelling difference, a member removed during verification, or a card disabled for not lifting grain. As reported by news outlets, the TPDS (Control) Amendment Order, 2025 allows cards with no grain lifted for six months to be temporarily disabled, followed by verification and e-KYC within three months. A Rajya Sabha reply reported by ETV Bharat said UP deleted 5.97 lakh ineligible cards in 2025.

Check again using the card-number search, and check every dealer in your area.
Ask your ration dealer to check on the ePoS machine whether your card and units are active.
If a member is missing, see UP ration card e-KYC, because units without e-KYC have been suspended in some districts.
Visit your district or tehsil supply office with your old card and Aadhaar, and ask in writing what happened.

Many people search "nfsa.up.gov.in ration card list". The domain nfsa.up.gov.in exists, but we could not confirm what it currently shows. Checking the ration card list costs nothing. Nobody needs your Aadhaar to show you a public dealer list.
Do not share OTPs with callers who say your name was "removed" and offer to restore it.
